CONSIGMAR was founded in 1974 by Mr. Julio Salvador Castelló, who recognised the growth potential of Spain’s Mediterranean ports and created a first-class shipping agency to meet the needs both of Shipowners and operators, and the trading community.

Established initially in Valencia, today the Company has offices and well qualified staff in both Valencia and Barcelona, Spain’s two largest Mediterranean ports.

We maintain our own sub-office in Castellón, at the heart of the important ceramics trade, and offer a national agency network through trusted partners at all major Spanish ports.

CONSIGMAR remains privately owned, with the shareholding controlled by Mr. Julio Salvador and his family.
